Mission
NEIDOS (Network Italiano di Dottorati di ricerca in Scienze Biomediche e Biotecnologiche) is a spontaneous gathering of Italian Graduate Schools and Courses, which aims at an overall improvement of the training and educational activities offered by national graduate programs, to make them more attractive to bright, talented and highly motivated students, both nationally and internationally.

NEIDOS operates under the auspices and through the active involvement of two prominent italian life science societies, the Association of Cell Biology and Differentiation (Associazione Biologia Cellulare e Differenziamento, ABCD) and the Italian Society of Biophysics and Molecular Biology (Società Italiana di Biofisica e Biologia Molecolare, SIBBM).

The operational goal of NEIDOS is the implementation of a shared Code of Practice, consisting of a common set of qualified procedures to select, monitor, train and assess graduate students independently of their location, towards the achievement of a PhD degree that conforms to internationally accepted standards and provides the student with the knowledge and skills required to develop as independent investigators in biomedical and biotechnological sciences.

To achieve its scientific, technological and educational goals, NEIDOS will utilize pre-existing infrastructures, management and coordination procedures that have been developed through a longstanding tradition of research and higher education programs among its participating establishments.

This web portal is intended to provide users with timely information concerning the common procedures adopted by the Schools and Courses participating in NEIDOS, as well as with details about the research activities and available projects offered by the participating scientists.
