Dr Ugo Ramenghi was born in Turin, Italy, December 11, 1953.
- Graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Turin on October 1978

- Since June 1985 appointment by the University of Turin, Department of Pediatrics, as University Researcher (corresponding to U.S. Assistant Professor).
- April 1989 - February 1990: research training on hematopoietic growth factors at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Melbourne, Australia.
- Since 1990 is in charge of the Hematology Unit, Pediatric Dept, University of Turin.
Since November 2002 appointment by the University of Turin, Department of Pediatrics, as Associate Professor.
Head of the Hematology Unit of the Pediatric Dept.
Author of 77 international publications; Impact Factor : 413,7.
Main present research interests: growth factors: clinical use in hematology and oncology. Pathogenesis of congenital anemias (in particular Diamond Blackfan Anemia and Fanconi Anemia) and autoimmune diseases, in particular defect of Fas dependent apoptosis in T lymphocytes. Author of 77 international publications; Impact Factor : 413,7.
