Carla Tribioli has extensive experience in the following fields: bacterial and yeast genetics, molecular biology, mouse genetics, gene targeting, developmental biology, human genetics, cancer genetics, mouse model of human diseases.
Main achievements:
- Construction of linear plasmids autonomously replicating in yeast.
- Cloning of human DNA sequences with the features of origins of replication.
- Isolation and characterization of human genes in Xq28.
- Generation of transgenic mice which develop acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) and molecular analysis of the mechanisms causing APL.
- Molecular and functional analysis of bone development.
- Generation of homeobox gene targeted mice and characterization of developmental defects.
